We had started to do some yard work a couple of weeks ago when we had that blast of summer like weather. Although the heat was a little sudden for my liking, everyone seemed to be distracted by all of the fun activities we were enjoying. Well, I am not sure how much fun Daddy was having laying bricks, but I am certain that the time we spent working in the dirt was exactly what we all needed!
The rain over the last couple of weeks has kept us from finishing the patio project we started, but it has given our plants the boost they needed to nearly triple in size! It is so rewarding to see the yard literally come to life before our eyes! In between the rainy days (moments), the kids would still dart ouside to explore all of the changes that had taken place. SO many changes of wet clothing. I once read, "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing".
I am hoping for some dry weather this weeknd so we can finally finish the patio. I am glad that we have all taken the time to notice and enjoy the metamorphosis (often an afterthought) that has taken place this spring season. It was well worth the laundry!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend of fun and muddy feet!
hahaha! :) What cuties they are in the sprinkler!
Isn't it nice to have greenery? I love it when everything comes back to life.

John is looking a little extra crispy there. Hope he didn't get too burnt!
