Father's Day

Well Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandpa's, uncles and papas to be out there!

We had a really nice father's day yesterday.  Actually, we really didn't do much of anything!  It was a rainy day (surprise, surprise), so we did alot of sitting around.  In a way, that was kind of a treat for us since we are usually pretty on the go. 

The day ended with a very nice BBQ with my mother, stepfather, my father in law and his mother, wife and daughter.  They all love spending time with the kiddos and seemed to all have a wonderful time in spite of the rain!  When the evening ended, I just couldn't pull myself away from the little one's I was snuggling on the couch to download photographs and write!  Perhaps that was the real gift this father's day, being able to live in our own tiny bubble for the day, just enjoying some uniterrupted time together?  My husband could not have been more thankful and kept telling me what a lovely day he had, when in truth, it was I who could not find enough moments in a lifetime to tell him thank you for being such a wonderful husband and father!

Thanks for this. I didn't get any other posts on it and was kind of feeling like a slacker!

I had to listen to my own advice that I tell friends...being creative isn't worth as much if you are doing it and neglecting those important family down time moments.
