This has been an amazing week! I am finally feeling better for the first time in months and have found myself doing all of the things that I normally do; getting to the pool at the beach club with friends, cooking dinner, baking, working on my projects for the craft show and my Etsy shop, and most of all spending time with the kiddos.
As wonderful as this has been, it had been alot of work too. I spent the entire afternoon the other day vaccuuming and mopping floors, really scrubbing the counters; all of the things I usually do that I just couldn't get to. My other project for the week has been reeling in the children. I think some of this crazy comes along with it being summer, but it seems to be a bit more intense in this case. We have managed to get on track with a normal bedtime, vitamin taking, you kow, those things...hey, it's a start.
I came across these photos on the computer the other day that my cousin, photographer, Jessica L. Morrisy had taken over the winter. She is just so talented! I love having wonderful photographs that are taken by another talented individual. I know I often look for a certain something, or end up photographing people or things in a certain style. Like almost any form of art, it is wonderful to have another perspective. As I look at these pictures of my babes, and others, I am reminded that although this week I feel like I am trying to tame a pair of wild horses, the truth is that I am the luckiest mama to have the honor of raising such wonderful children! I could take a lesson on how accepting they are of me and my limitaitons at times, and I will be mindful of this and how incredibly much I love them, as we continue to reinforce positive behaviors, and discourage the negative.
Please, visit Jessica's site at www.JessicaMorrisy.com. {You'll see many of my wedding photos that she took!} And if you are local, inquire about a shoot. You will be amazed at how wonderful it is to have professional photographs taken of you or your family! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Gorgeous pics of your gorgeous boy. How lovely to have such a wonderful memento. I agree with you about the forgiveness aspect. I get so grumpy with my oldest boy, yet when I really fall down he is so forgiving and accepting. It pulls me into line for a while, then I forget again. Part of it is forgiving ourselves too I think, forgiving our own imperfections.
The summer is a tough time in many ways I think. The lack of structure can be dizzying, especially when that is all you have to hold onto! I love autumn, there is a calmness to it after the turbulence of summer activity and travel. Being pregnant doesn't help! I seems like you are doing an amazing job and your new bean will be lucky to have such a great mama. Have a great day.

Thank you so much for this...although I try to tell myself these things, it is really nice to hear it from someone else who knows what it is to feel this way at times!
Amen to autumn being around the corner! It has always been my favourite time of the year...it is like a fresh begining in a way, especially with my big guy starting kindergarten this year!
Hey, you know, my floors are clean, and I am not getting sick anymore...I'm feeling positive about whatever these little ones throw my way over the next 4 weeks. : ) Enjoy the weekend and thanks again!~

Your floors are clean! You are way ahead of the game. We too are venturing into the world of kindergarten this September. It feels very momentous making this summer come into sharper relief somehow. Now that we are coming into the season of garden and market produce abundance I'm looking forward to making more chutney's, jams and pies than ever before, that usually cheers me up! I was pregnant last summer so didn't do as much as I would have liked.
If you are feeling like a tasty treat I've blogged a lovely recipe for courgettes - we have a lot of them! It is light but tasty, maybe good for a preggo lady.
I really enjoy your blog and chatting with you, pat yourself on the tummy for being so great : ) Have a lovely weekend.
