The weather has gotten cooler and the time for jumpers with long sleeves underneath is upon us! The other day, I put my little girl in a jumper I had made for her last year. Many very talented people are able to make these jumpers completely reversible, however, I just lined mine and was more than happy with that!
I was shocked when I put the little jumper on my daughter this year, and it was more of a shirt than a dress! We always know that our children are growing, but to really see it before your eyes is still kind of amazing to me. Luckily, the pattern was such that these jumpers do make really adorable tops. Here is my little side note for those thinking of making this pattern. Instead of creating a button hole in the dress at the shoulders, I added snaps, then put a button on the outside for decoration. I could easily move the snaps down to make it more dress like and probably get yet another year out of these jumpers, as a top!
As you can imagine, this makes me very happy, since I absolutely adore the Halloween print fabric and the other fabrics I have used in making these. If you're thinking of doing any sewing, a pattern like this would be my suggestion!

Cute fabric! I like both. I think the snap idea is also good because face it... button holes are a bit of a pain to make, right? Jumpers are so nice because they are easily changeable when they get messy, without having to wash the whole outfit.I have a few for Delia and I like the flexibility.
